Andrew Zimmern has a new series, “What’s Eating America,” which debuts tonight (16th).
It’s not about bizarre food. Is more of an investigative/opinion show.
Trigger warning: It’s on MSNBC, and the first five topics are immigration, climate change, addiction, voter suppression and health care.
The addiction one could be interesting. He’s talked before about being a junkie. A WaPo article says it’s “a painfully raw and often moving hour in which Zimmern lays out his own battle with drugs and alcohol.”
He’s no longer on Travel Channel (now Trvl Channel), which has shifted its programming to focus on ghosts, monsters and the paranormal. [Another sign the idiocracy is happening.]
