The second annual Nightmares of San Antonio Paranormal Fest is coming to San Antonio this September, bringing with it a rare look at 500 years of haunted toy history.
The festival is hosted by the Curious Twins Paranormal & Ghost Tours, a group that offers three different haunted tours in San Antonio.
Fred Garza, a self-identified psychic medium, runs Curious Twins and said the festival will have ghost hunter booths, artist and artisan vendors psychics and a spirit communication class.
But Garza said the main event is the haunted toy exhibit, featuring a collection of local haunted dolls.
“It follows some of the biggest cases (of haunted toys) not just in America, but in the entire world,” Garza said. “People do get a chance to see these cool, interesting and creepy toys for themselves.”
Despite October being the designated “spooky month” of the year, Garza said he is holding the festival in September to ensure he would be able to attract as many vendors and “paranormal professionals” as possible.
Admission is free, but donations for the haunted toy exhibit will be accepted at the door. The spooky festival is on September 22 from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. and is located at 108 Blue Star, San Antonio, Texas 78204.
